Is my video safe?

Hi guys,

I have uploaded a video to my channel, the video playes fine. But a warning message comes up.





Will they delete my video? I have seen loads of videos similar to mine on youtube with music in the background

I have included the names of the songs in the description

But I have seen several videos very similar to mine that were uploaded years ago and are still viewable on their channel.

Why have theirs not been deleted or muted?
 
I believe you have to refer to terms of use. I've seen many videos that have been deleted and the information about copyrights was given.

It looks like they just disabled monetization on your behalf and turned it on for the copyright holders of the content you used. It's kinda lame that they can make money off of your video just because you used a bit of one of their songs, but that's what happens when they have the lawyers to pursue you. Next time just use copyright free music if you can.

So what will happen to my video?

Will it get deleted?

I have watched several videos today with music in the background that were uploaded years ago and haven't been deleted
 
Nah, I have two videos with content that was hit by copyright holders that I made several years ago. They're still on youtube. You just can't get any ad money for them is all. If you look at my channel and check out either "Later than I thought" or "Jon Dies at the End Review" (which are the two that were dinged) you'll see they are still there.
 
Your video and audio is okay for now but starting from now you cannot monetize your video anymore(means you cannot earn anything from it). :)

Most likely they have claims on them and all the money it generates will go to their copyright holder. Happened to me years ago when I uploaded an AMV and the money went to the music holder and anime creator :)
