Is my content too generic?

Hey everyone! Firstly hope you are having a great day! But guys I'm thinking that my content is far to generic as I produce gaming videos that range from Lets Plays, Walkthroughs, discussions and then Vlogs on the side. I'm also experiencing a decline in subscriber growth and was wondering would this relate to my videos being generic?

I personally think that you don't need to worry about videos being generic, i mean there is literally millions of the same gaming videos on YT you cant help but be generic haha.
If i was you id try to find a game that is different ie not just typical videos like Minecraft, COD (although i can see you are doing that already) once you find your niche market im sure you'll know!
That being said you have to enjoy what you do and play, having fun in videos really comes across to the viewer and makes them enjoy it too, so if all you enjoy doing is playing generic games then so be it! Have fun! That way you'll enjoy what you do!

Honestly I think there's a lot of success in absolutely loathing and being disgusted at what you are playing, as long as your reactions are legitimate and it does not feel like you are acting on purpose. I find those types of videos far more amusing than LPs where somebody likes the game.

But I agree on the generic thing, in this day there are so many LP channels out there it seems incredibly hard to come out ahead due to all the competition. A lot of LP channels also rely on the viewer forming a bond with the people behind the channel, which often takes a lot of time. But that goes for a lot of channel-types beyond just LPs.
