Is Monetizing Your Videos the Same as Partnering with YouTube?

Basically, the title is my question. What's the difference between these two things, or are they the same? And how does AdSense come into the equation, or does it at all?

Basically yes. Once you enable monetization on your channel, you are now a youtube partner. Adsense is how you get paid. You have to make and link an Adsense account with your youtube account to earn money from your videos.

Okay, that makes much more sense. Thank you. Lol. I should've asked this a long time ago. Can't wait until I get enough subscribers to become a YT Partner, even if I don't make a lot of money it will feel nice.

No problem. Technically anyone can become a youtube partner. All you need is 1 video, enable monetization, and now you're a youtube partner whether you have any subscribers or not.

Really? Because when I tried to become a YouTube partner it said that I needed at leat 1,000 subs.

Edit: He already said what I was gonna say...and now....my purpose is....idk what it is....I'll just go now...

Hmm maybe they changed it. Back then all you had to do was enable monetization and you were a youtube partner, which basically just meant your videos were making money through Adsense.

I'll check again. I haven't looked in well over a year, so it might be me who is outdated and not you!

Yep only requirement is , u have at least one video and most important, ur channel is in good standing, make sure enabling monetization does not mean everything is do one, don't forget to link existing AdSense or make a new (if u don't have one) or join a MCN.

OK, cool. Must mean they changed the regulations since I last looked.
