Is Maker Gen Worth It?

I kind of want to start up with them but what do they actually do? I read about all the stuff that they do on their website but of course they are posting from a very bias standpoint. Has anyone had great success with maker gen and them getting you more traffic on your videos? I am really curious with Maker Gen but I get a little scared when the 30% of earnings come in (not like I make anything right now anyways).
 
Not heard of fullscreen, Partnered my gaming channel with freedom but didn't see any benefit from it SK ended up leaving the stuff they offers did t work and the site was very clunky so will have to look into full screen.
 
No! 1st ask yourself... Why do you need a network?

I need Protection!
What protection? You're not a managed partner.

I need to grow!
No, they don't do that. Specifically... networks provide "good" ads for your channel... they don't EVER provide any proof of this

I need music!
Ok, maybe. That's fair, but you should know there are plenty of places to buy music and get a license to use it.

I need collabs!
Nope networks dont even... machinima used to do dat a long time ago..

I dont care what you say I need a network to be in to feel important!
Fine go ahead... be my guest. Join a network. It wont help you at all. . . Its all Bull.
Anyone do the math
Typical % split is 40/60.
Lets see... youtube takes 45% right off the bat. So you got 55% left of your earnings... and now lets put a network in the mix to take 40%... oh look its about 30%
You get about 30% of what you earned.
Was it worth it?

This has always been my way of thinking, being new to YT (only started this month) i have been trying to think and look for ways to grow and see a lot of people mentioning 'join a network' 'you have to join a network' but from what i have seen, maybe i'm looking at the wrong networks, but they don't really offer much in the way of growing, just taking more of the money you earn from you.

I know lol so many channels with 0 subscribers asking about making money and networks promoting them
