Is it worth getting an HD recorder for a small channel

I can only attest to the successes I've had with a beauty channel, but I've definitely noticed a difference in retention, and overall views since I started posting in HD. You should always strive to give your viewers (be they many or few)
the best viewing experience you possibly can.
 
Overall, it won't really make much of a difference in terms of attracting viewers. I had more viewers six years ago when I used to point a camera at a TV than now when I use an HD recording device, but if making videos is something you're going to keep doing on a regular basis, you might as well make the investment.
 
If I could go back in time and change one thing about my channel it would be the camera. Ok, two things. I would toss my cheap camera in the trash and change my stupid user name. Buy a good HD camera.
