Is it totally against the law?

Is it totally against thge law to come on this forum and attempt to promote your YT channel?
If this is the case does anyone know where it can be done without the gods getting the mood on for a smiting session?

It seems obvious to me that even the person with 3 million subs and gaining 750,000 hits in a day for a new video had to begin somewhere.

Sorry to sound like a noob at this but thats because I am one.

Their are rules in place to prevent this such spam if it occurs. Read the rules and FAQ and you will learn more about it. :P

Against the law? Not quite, but it's against our rules to simply come here and spam your website/forum/channel/etc. :) once you have enough posts/forum cash you can purchase access to the promotional forums and post in there, or have videos in your signature (like I have).

So what these people are trying to say is: Blend in in the community, have fun and you will get more exposure when you become more active.

Yeah it is actually the opposite. There is threads in place for promoting your videos, and channel etc. however it is set up so that the people who are benefiting from this forum are the active members. But if you are involved and mingle a little bit it can help your exposure.

It's not against the law but it's shunned upon. There's a sub forum here that dedicates entirely on posting your videos, though you'll need $200 YTtalk cash to privileges.

Plus, you already have your channel link shown when you post so people can freely click on that and check you out. :P
