Is it too late to leave?

I became a partner with Maker Studios about 10 days ago. My tax and payment information is still pending. I changed my mind and I decided to try another network (Curse). I emailed them (Maker Studios) and this is what they said:

"Please note that your current agreement with Maker Studios is a 2 year term which began on 8/1/2014 and will automatically renew itself on 8/1/2016, unless you submit a non-renewal request at least 30 days prior to the contract date. You are not eligible to leave at this time."

Also I signed only W-8BEN and International Talent Payment Form. It's my first time to hear that this is 2 year contract. What should I do now? :(
 
What contract? I only signed W-8BEN and International Talent Payment Form. No any '2 year contract'. Where did it said it was 2 year contract? I don't remember...
 
If you signed the contract then i'm sorry but you can't leave till the contract is over.
It's very inportent to research networks before you sign a contract.

Edit: What exacly is the W-8BEN? Maybe that's the contract?
 
To even receive those forms, you have to sign the contract. Chances are it was hidden in the Terms & Conditions on the channel submission page that you didn't read. xD

W-8BEN is for payment. It has nothing to do with partnership.

For Maker, you put your channel through that stupid submission process to see if your channel qualifies. When doing that, and clicking "Continue" or whatever it is to fill in your information, you're effectively signing a contract by saying you agree.

You've got to deal with them for 2 years now, so try and find the positives dude xD

Yep if you are partnered with them then that means that somewhere down the line you partnered with them. Just take this a lesson that you should always look up about the networks on Google and YouTube before you just onboard one, the typical length of network contracts is 1 or 2 years so you really need to research well before choosing one.
 
I heard good things about this network. I know one YouTuber who is partnered with them and he has nice CPM. His views are coming from same countries as my views do. That's why I joined this network. But meanwhile I heard about Curse so I wanted to try.
