Just wondering, like when recording games.
I mean these ones:

Can you use them to record? Yes. Will it sound good? Not at all. They will pick up so much background noise it is crazy. You are better off using a potato.
No, they actually work pretty good for me, it doesn't detect much background noise. but the question is..... . . HOW???

Actually no, I have to disagree with you. I use the same headphones when I record games, and I get barely any background noise. I get more background noise with my Turtle Beach Headset than I do with my Apple headphones.

I know you can do it. You need to get your computer to recognize the mic as a mic and not just headphones. You may need a 3rd party program for this. I recorded a vlog using them once and it sounded horrible...

I'm intrigued, how would you record with apple headphones, when it has an audio jack, and no mic jack. Would you need a usb adapter or something?

The apple headset uses a 4-pin minijack connector, while the computer only has a 3-pin connector for headset, and another 3-pin for the microphone. You will need to buy a cable/adapter/splitter, that splits these 4 pins into microphone minijack with 3 pins, and headset with 3 pins. Then you connect them in each separate ports on the computer.
Its probbly also possible, though I'm not sure, to get an adapter that lets you put the 4-pin into a USB adapter so that you connect it to the USB port on your computer.

There is NO way to use it as mic/headset without an adapter
