I recently started YouTube and I love making videos but the editing process takes about 3 hrs. I use Hitfilm Express as I don't want to pay and da Vinci Resolve doesn't run properly on a high-quality PC. Help!
Is it just me or does editing take forever?

That's odd. It should. You might want to explore why it doesn't on your computer. I have a top-notch computer and Resolve works just fine on it.

Yes, editing, especially good editing, takes time. Creatively edited content is way more engaging that a talking head. Time spent on planning, lighting, getting "B-roll" and editing is an investment. I have some videos that are only 10 minutes long, but represent two or more days of work. Like any investment, dividends can pay off over time, and on YT, old vids continue to get fresh impressions if the analytics are good. When you are still getting traffic on your edited content years from now, the "edit hours" will feel like a wise investment.
