Is it copyright to use game trailers?

I recently uploaded a channel trailer and i used bits from some e3 trailers of games i was getting and I'm worried now because I might get a copyright stike according to some people ? I see people uploading full trailers with nothing happening though. so my question is, is it possible for me to get a copyright strike because the last thing i would want is to have to start a new channel again.

I don't think you will get in trouble for using the trailers although there is like a ratio that you have to keep to when using material like that, this basically means you have to show more content that is your own than using the trailer, for example say you used 30 seconds of a trailer you would have to put 1 minute of your own material in

Im not completely though this is just what I have read in the past, good luck and I hope there are no copyright problems

I've said this several times and I guess it can't be said enough.

You should never ever upload a trailer on youtube. It doesnt matter if you upload the whole video or just bits and pieces. Trailers has one of the highest risks to get get claimed on youtube.
