Is Creating Intros on PowerPoint unprofessional?

Hello YT, Oliver Here,
About two years ago I made a basic intro for my channel on Microsoft Office PowerPoint, however is this professional or not?

I don't think it matters man since your using what's available to you. As long as your happy with your effort and the outcome. Everyone starts off with low budget software. However there are free open source animation software out there like pencil 2D and blender as well as a lot more but you'd have to learn how to animate and use the software. If you want to make your intros of professional quality then I'd look into them.

Use what you have available to you. If you think it looks good then, by all means you're doing a good job. My personal intro is a template that I downloaded and then edited up in Movie Studio 13, to give it a more personalized look since I don't have the skills or software to make custom intros.

As long as you can make something of quality with what you have, go for it! Nothing can be worse that the nasty 480p template intros that are all over Youtube.

It's not unprofessional, as long as the intro has had a lot of effort put into it. You can use any software to make an intro, Microsoft Powerpoint is used for many things, but it can also be used to make intros, even though that's not really the main purpose, Powerpoint can be used to the full, creative extent. "Professional" isn't in affect when you are using the available materials that you have. "Professional" is if you make something good out of your available options... with effort. I hope this helps you understand. :)
