Is a second channel for daily vlogs worth it?

I've been thinking about doing a daily vlog channel. Will this boost my subscription base at all? Would anyone watch a random person's vlogs? I feel like they would be boring videos is all... haha

It couldn't hurt, although it's a proven fact that second channels often don't do as well. Perhaps when your subs base is larger? At least 1,000 subs on the main channel I'd say.

To be honest I plan to start a second channel, completely different from the first - maybe pranks and random stuff. It seems that kind of stuff gets tons of views if done right!
Im not sure if I would tie it in with my main channel though, or treat both completely separately.
Remember, when you create a second channel its usually because you want to offer something different to your first channel - if its not so different you may as well stick with the first channel and create playlists. If its something quite different and needs its own separate channel, this doesnt always mean your subscriber base from your first channel will be interested in the content on your second channel.......of course, you can promote the second channel using your first, but that doesnt mean your subscriber base will all be interested.
Personally I'm thinking of starting a second channel, but may start with doing it completely separately from the first and see how far I get before I decide on mixing the two channels or not.......if it doesnt work, I can always promote it using the initial channel as an option later on.......

I would say go for it. You can come here and ask for our opinions, but no one knows what will happen unless you give it a shot! I mean, what's the worst that can happen??

I would say why wait? Don't let go of your first channel as that should be your priority, but there's nothing stopping you from moving on with the vlogging channel simultaneously. Remember, you don't need to mix the two channels just yet, wait and see if you get a separate subscriber base for each channel first. If you don't and feel you want to cross the channels together, then that's always an open option for later down the line. That's what I think I'll be doing.

I'm not sure how you would be able to get subscribers with a vlog channel without already having a fan base though? Who wants to know what somebody that they don't care about is doing? Do you get what I'm saying? Idk haha
 
I watch random vlogs I say go for it you never know it might get bigger than your other channel and put a playlist on your main channel. I had 2 once and somebody pm'd and said I saw a vid of someone that looked just like you but they were riding down the road talking I was like LOL that was me.
