Intro Tile Thing

The Gamer Musician

Loving YTtalk
Hey everyone, so I'm thinking of creating an intro tile kinda thing, and I have two ideas. Keep in mind that both ideas will only go for 5 to 10 seconds.

Idea 1: Mario, or some other game character will jump up the musical stave, and jump off the top of the screen.

Idea 2: On each line of the staff, a different 8-Bit Character will run in from the left, and fade into notes.

Both will have a short chiptune song, and this will end by showing my logo.

Any thoughts? Which idea do you reckon sounds better?

Well you'll have to be careful if you're using a character from a game because of copyright and trademark and stuff, maybe a sprite of yourself would be a better idea? :)

Sprites are easy to make if you have the right software to make them on! I'm sure someone on here would make you one :) Basically it's a bunch of squares, so if you get some squared paper you can plan it :)

Yeah! Google other sprites to help you get inspired, and you could also pick up some nice techniques! Just a tip from me, don't use black for filling things, use a dark grey, because chances are you'll be using black for the outline, so it'll be hard to tell the difference between the outline and the fill :) Hope it goes well!

Those are both pretty cool ideas. I like the idea of the second version if it looks good (i.e. not appearing rushed into 5-10 seconds), otherwise the first one might look cleaner. And @Vidcast's idea of a sprite of yourself sounds cool too!
