Read everything before giving me hate :)

Programs: (FREE)
-Google Sketchup
-Blender
-Your normal editing software

Websites:
-Animoto
-Flixpress
-Ivipid
-Intromaker

Programs: (PAID)
-Cinema 4D (free trial available)
-Corel MotionStudio 3D
-After Affects (I know this can fall under "Your normal editing software" but whatever since this is more for effects)
-Aurora 3D
-Microsoft PowerPoint (comes free on a lot of computers)
-PhotoShop
-Element 3D

Other Options:
-Do something different every video, intros get boring after awhile. Be creative!
-Introduce yourself and what you will be playing/doing in your video. (Try to be unique and stay away from saying something like "Hey Guys, My name is "Insert Name Here" because that's how every one pretty much does it.
-Going with the previous statement, ^^^ You don't need to have a 3D/2D Text intro if you are just going to introduce yourself afterwards.
-Last Option: DON'T HAVE AN INTRO! You don't need one to make your videos "seem better" because any intro longer than 5 seconds nobody wants to see. :)

Did I miss any programs/websites (that would not fall under "Your normal editing software")? If so post them below and I will add them to the list. Also sorry if this thread was already made. :D

Also, if you are looking for video editing software there is a list here: http://yttalk.com/threads/video-editing-software-list.837/ made by @Michael

Uhhh. How do you make intros in photoshop? Last I knew, photoshop was an image editor not an animator.?

blender is a great program ot use! and there are tones of tutorials from people on yourtube if you haven't used it before :) Also corrent me if I am wrong! bu I think blender also has a gaming engine built in too? but yea whatever your after then blender seems a pretty versatile FREE (always good) piece of software you can download and use in no time specially if you follow a tutorial that you like!

Aegisub, or Avisynth makes for great intros.
My latest video intro was all Aegisub.
Frankly speaking, Aegisub is so powerful, that its not difficult to get carried away, however if you are careful, you can make a simple intro, which is not too flashy, but seems just right.
LAst but not the least, intro should be about 4-8 seconds max, any more is pushing it, unless you have such kickass intro that people want to watch again and again. For example, the TEchmoan guy has an amazing Intro.
