Instrumentals...are they considered covers? (karaoke style vids)

Just had a quick question... I do song covers on my channel but I am thinking about making instrumentals with lyrics on screen for other people to sing (karaoke style videos)

Are these type of vids considered song covers? I am currently partnered with fullscreen... should I still upload through their interface, or can I do it straight from my youtube account?

Are you performing everything yourself? If that's the case, I think you should be okay, as long as you're not uploading someone else's work and trying to pass it as your own.
 
Pretty much it would be like covering the song, but just playing the guitar without singing (and instead of me on camera, it would be lyrics on the screen)
 
I feel like that would fine, but I'd try to find a way to prove that you are the one playing and not the original source material.
