iMovie sound effects

Are the iMovie sound effects and songs creative commons or are they copyrighted? I've used them in my videos and I could monetize it no problem.

Unless specified I think they would come under copyright. If you are looking for music under creative commons. I would suggest Newgrounds dot com under the audio section. You will find a lot of cool music there.

But have you actually used iMovie?

I have used iMovie, sound effects once & I learned my lesson, they don't let you monetize it if you upload the video separately, you must use the built in upload function to be able to monetize the video, if not they will try to take the video down or tell you that you have copyrighted material, even though in iMovie's terms & conditions it clearly states that we have the right to use them freely & we are able to make money using their audio files, yet Youtube always does that. Some people including me,after uploading 10 or more videos to Youtube through iMovie we experience a problem it stops uploading to Youtube, so if you experience that, then upload it separately but it might detect your using iMovie sound effects & stop you. I speak from experience.:(

Yay, you didn't have to research all of that, you could have just given me the link but thanks alot. I dont have to worry about copyright now :)

You are free to use the sound effects etc from Imovie.
I've uploaded via imovie and outside of imovie - either way I've had no issues at all. Same with FCPX.

Well I was fine by just uploading seperatly so does that happen to everyone? i make it on my mac and then post it on my pc, will it unmonitize? (its already monetized)

I reckon you'll be fine. I've done it plenty of times - create the video on my MAC and upload via my PC from work.
No problems here.
