I'm planning on doing a self-deprecating Trailer

I've recently finished my fourth video and now I'm planning on writing and creating the channel trailer, it's going to be a mix up of the style of Honest Trailers and normal Hollywood trailers, however I just wanted to run part of the script by some people for feedback on whether it will be good or not.

(I'm planning on launching my channel on the 1st Jan 2016 and releasing videos every month on the first)

I started writing the script yesterday and it's going to be sort of deadpan in the sense of it's a semi-seriously handled trailer with humour. I was laughing as I was typing it up because it's the kind of thing I enjoy watching on YouTube, I was hoping it would also translate out as being something people would be interested in, here's an excerpt:

Get ready for a channel critics are calling: "Just about watchable”, “I think I even stayed awake for one of his videos”, “How will you be paying me for this revie- man I should really review scripts before recording them, “Who the hell is The Cutting Room Floor” and “Ok, I guess”.

The way I want it to come across is self-aware, that I'm joking about my videos but not hopelessly mocking my channel, and that it's also a series trailer that people would make people want to come to my channel.

What do you think? Is it going down the right path? Or is should I change it?

I quite like the idea of pointing out your own flaws before the trolls descend.
But because of how new your channel is, I'd also say that even if what you're saying is self deprecating humour, a certain amount of what you're saying is going to stick; so I guess be aware of that.
I like to make fun out of the fact that I don't post as often as I should but don't tend to go beyond that personally :D

That's my type of humour, it's great.
Just don't go overboard.

Love it obviously since I use it on my channel.

Thank you for your comments, I'll be sure to keep in check what I write in the script.
