Hey there, i am a new user here on this forum.
And i want to discuss something.
Now first of all i think it would be good to inform you that i live in a country called "Libya" and for the past 2 years Youtube has been closed.
So i had a kind of "culture shock" to see how youtube has changed from social media to corporate media.
The top 1000 subscribers don't change. To be in the top you need to know editing, sound, green screen, have the best connections. Hell they have better production qualities than t.v. shows.
The days where someone would pick up a camera and just talk to an audience, and be entertaining has gone.
New users find it increasingly difficult to try and compete with the others. And they do not have the advantage of it being a "new" site.
If we look at smosh's first video, or Phillipdefranco, or ijustine, or nigahiga, or tobuscus........and so on. There is no way if some one done that now...... u get the point.
Now this aint all complaining, and such. For i want to unite the new guys.
Those who can actually make good material, yet don't have great budgets, or mega equipment. We need to find a way to unite. To help each other out, and to make a change to YouTube.
I don't know if that is possible, but it is what i want to do.
