Hmm... I think I'd rather want a friend to make videos with, than a partner.
If things go bad, it will be weird to have videos online with them in it.

Good point! I completely agree with you. The biggest issue of relationship vlogging is that if things don't work, then the audience gets upset by "losing a character" if that makes sense. Separate channels without a doubt!
 
It might be nice to have the support from someone else who gets it better than most. I have only ever dated one guy who was ever kind of interested in youtube like i am, but he didn't have a channel. But he was really supportive and it was nice. Most of my friend and stuff don't fully get it and aren't that supportive. So dating another youtube might be nice, but idk i would not make it a requirement though

The issue with having a channel is not many people do get it, but that's the nature of it all I suppose!

yeah not many people get it at all. A group of friends I used to hang out with used to kind of make fun of me for doing youtube when i did my gaming channel. I'm not friend with them anymore for many other reasons than this lol but exibit A of not great friends.
 
Currently taken. but if I were a single pringle and we both agreed that we'd only cross over if we genuinely thought it was a valid and worthwhile thing to do and not just a pointless thing then sure. I'd be more than happy to help her out with all things filmey and edit-ey as well (I help my current partner do that with her artwork)
 
My friend that started a youtube was in one of my videos. It was fun. I think unless you have a plan for a channel in advance with 2 people you should just make separate channels for yourself and colab a lot if that is what you are into.
