I'm conflicted...

What should I do?

I'm a bit conflicted about my channel and the videos I make. 90% of the videos I make are gaming videos. Let's Plays, reviews, etc. The other 10% of my videos are real videos, vlogs, rants, etc. The thing is, even though the wide majority of my videos, and my channel overall, are gaming related, those videos don't even get half of what my rant videos get. Most of the time I have to ***** myself out on Reddit for my gaming videos to keep up (lol). However, it is much harder for me to get ideas for real videos, and I am much, much, funnier in gaming videos than real videos. Overall, real videos are much more difficult to pull off than gaming videos, which come naturally to me. So my question is, should I just start transitioning to more real videos, or should I just keep trying with gaming videos and see if their stats start to pick up? Thanks for the advice!

sometimes mixing both vlogs and gaming in one channel might now work together.
I think that the best thing you should do is go to your youtube analytics and see the audience retention time for your gaming videos vs the vlogs and see which interests people the most then go with one or the other if you cannot do both at the same time.

Its not that I can't do both, it's just that I'm not sure if its worth it to still do gaming videos if they don't get the views my rants do (Which are much harder to make)

I'm the kind of person who would encourage vlogs over gaming because i'm not a big fan of gaming... no offence.
but to be honest, good things are harder to do and you shouldn't always look at the easiest option.

for example some of my videos are logs and some are painting/drawing time-lapse. the vlogs are the easiest to to because it just takes under 10 minuits to record and then the editing is very easy. as for the drawing i find it the hardest because it takes 3 hours to record, my camera's battery's always dies so i have to charge it once through out and then the memory card fills up which i have to load and unload it 3 to 4 times during a session of recording which takes long time to move from card to computer as it has large memories so in total it takes me 6 hours to finish recording everything and then editing comes later.

but looking at my analytics, the timelapses get more views than vlogs.

so all the effort is worth it.

anyway, hope this had helped you made a decision.

This did help a bit, thanks! I don't necessarily mean that they're harder, it's just that there's not as much quality in those because I'm much funnier and overall better in gaming videos than vlogs.

Whatever is more enjoyable and whatever feels "right".
Up to you to decide for yourself, we can't decide for you.
I'd say stick to one type of content for now, as I can only really manage one channel at a time. I have a vlogging channel, which I rarely use, but I will soon ;D

I think you should go the Vlog route. Make a name for yourself as a youtube personality, and then you could open another channel doing games.
