I'm bored of content I'm creating

My channel is about an, ehh, game named 'Growtopia'.
I really don't "enjoy" playing it and I only make tutorials etc. for it for youtube, neither I never really play it for other reasons than get clips for youtube.

But that's really what my channel is about - that game. I once tried to create two videos in row of something else than that game, but my views dramatically dropped (even for videos after these 2).
All that I have worked for right now would be lost if I would stop making videos of that game.

I don't know - should I try making other videos, but having to kind-of start from beginning?

I say just do what you think is fun!
If people don't stay then whatever more people will come. Their loss.

Look, we can all reach a compromise. Make both types of videos. Make the videos you don't like to keep an audience but also make the videos you enjoy making so you don't loose your passion for YT. And then eventually, you will have built a subscriber base that likes the same stuff you do. Then you could fully transition into doing only the stuff you like.

Woah. That was an actual serious answer. What's happening to me?! Where's my goofiness and utter disrespect for seriousness?! AM I GETTING OLD?!

Don't make s**t you don't enjoy. That's my personal view.

With the amount of views you get, you'd be making far more money spending your time on an actual job you dislike instead of making videos you dislike for pennies.
YT is only a "dream job" for people who actually enjoy what they make.

Move to something that brings you joy. There is no point in forcing yourself do to things you don't like.

I feel you I did a lot of skyrim let's plays where I roleplayed my character just so I was able to get easy content up. The problem was that I never really felt fulfilled as a content creator since it was so easy to record and there was no special edits in them. That's why now I have started spending a lot more time on what I would like to do especially when some videos provide some sort of a challenge and am able to finish the video that day. I get a sense of accomplishment when am done and It keeps me motivated to keep doing daily uploads.
