Illuminata Project, Obelisk Program and more.

UrAveragePerson

I have a life.
Hello Friends,

I was wondering if someone @Shane or someone similar could help explain to me what the illuminata project is.
I believe it is a collaboration between ForelaDigital and another independent company but I am not sure. I have looked into their website and it says that they help VN's get MCN's through their Obelisk Program?? Do they have a special relationship with Google or something?
They also seem to "Own" or have "Launched" 12 other MCN's including Music Nations, Rule and Creative Nation, Zoomin and Forela.
Creative Nation seems to have similar dashboard looks and functionality to the Forela Digital and Zoomin network dashboards, which leads me to believe that they are in a sense connected.
I would just like some more info if any of you do have any as I am currently talking to one of their reps about a potential business deal.

Thanks

HI There @UrAveragePerson!

Thanks for your questions, let me see if I can clarify some things for you here:

Illuminata is a service provider to MCNs. We do indeed work with various MCN partners that are connected to us like Music Nations, Rule, Creative Nation, Rec Studios and Forela.

Obelisk is the program that incubates and grows VNs to the point where they can apply to become an MCN and Illuminata works with them all the way through this process and when they become MCNs too.

If you wish to learn more about us, feel free to contact us on Facebook and we will provide you with more information regarding the incubation of VN’s or any other queries.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I cannot help you out on much apart from that their whole business is a pack of lies, We have no dealings with them, we've asked them multiple times to stop saying they have anything to do with CN but short of bringing them to court which would take 1-2 years and €100K+ there's nothing we can really do about it.

Basically they claim they can get people MCNs, this is a lie, they do not have multiple MCNs, they have one MCN called Forela Digital which has several Content Owners, Forela is the only MCN there with any relationship with YouTube, they others they call MCNs are not MCNs and just basically sub-networks using branded COs (I've had this confirmed by Google previously).

Have a look at their website and you'll find fairytales of big companies & TV stations they have no dealing with, offices that they do not own, technology that doesn't exist and claims of adsales sold by their non-existent sales team.

As @markkaz said, sub-networks are no longer allowed and Google are hoping to close off the whole concept of sub-networks by the end of June so after that, I guess their whole business concept will be no more..

Thanks for that info! Was CN not previously a part of ForelaDigital though?
