Ideas to make my channel grow

I dont know the next step to take, i currently have a competition but am finding it hard to meet the right people. I am trying collaborations, but do you have any good ideas for me to do|?
 
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Social Media! Have your friends post it to their friends, make it as your signature in all the forums and boards that you are on. If you're willing to get a lil crazy then maybe flyers or handbills, talking to small media outlets. The sky is the limit!!
