Idea Book?

Just wondering here.. cause i have quite a few youtube friends who all make great videos.. but when i ask them "do you keep your ideas in a book or sketch pad" they tell me no.. that they film ideas as they come .. sometimes even un-scripted..

now i dont know if its cause i completed a course in film and television but i always keep my ideas in a book, and script and storyboard all my sketches.. even get the legal forms for bigger productions .

do any of you guys keep your ideas in a book ?

i find if i dont i forget about some really good ideas i could film ..
 
I like to write down ideas often so I don't forget them, I also learned in my Video Production class to storyboard your videos so you have a solid plan. Moleskin notebooks are my favorite kind to write my ideas and thoughts in
 
I use a notebook when at home, but if I am out and about and I get an idea I use my notes on my phone. I think it's better to write them down instead of filming write away so that you can go back and look at it later to see if it is still entertaining to you and maybe some more ideas for that idea will pop up.
 
I take my notebook with me everywhere and script my vlogs even. I'm kind of OCD-y though, so it's a bit more about pattern, not necessity . lol.
