I Think My Friend and I are Cursed

attlas

I paid for this VIP by taking off my clothes.
Every time my friend and frequent co-commentator, Se7en, get together to record we always play Just Cause 2 because it's so much fun. We get AMAZING footage every time and the best stuff seems to happen whoever we play like my jet getting hit by lightning...

However, every time I go to edit and upload the amazing footage we get there always something that makes it unusable: fraps crashed midway through, the audio file is corrupted, the mic got unplugged, the list goes on and on.

HOW DO I BREAK THIS CURSE SO I CAN UPLOAD GLORIOUS OPEN WORLD SHENANIGANS?!?!?

I think i can MAYBE help with the mic prob ^_^ Try turning the the mic from 10db to 20db and put the volume to 70 ;) Then u will get no mic probs xD Im not sure if this is the ACTUAL prob with u and ur mic xD With the fraps prob, im afraid i cant help :(

Dude I was having problems for the last 3-4 weeks and gah they were so stressful but I just persevered, sorted out stuff, made sure I was recording the right things, tried out new settings, changed mike positions and done some test recording beforehand to make sure it comes out the way I want it to.

Btw I recommend Dxtory; doesn't drop frame rate, has a lot more settings and can record multiple audio tracks for editing ^_^ Hope it helps!

I know dat feel, happens to me a lot. Solution? Record some test footage, like 1m to see if everything is working :)

MAybe the unwritten rule of 'never get in a car with se7en', also translates to recording :giggle:

That was actually talked about; Se7en reveals that I am a far worse person to drive with as I always do at least 12 miles over the speed limit.

and as for everything else, we checked it: the mic was properly plugged in and tweaked the settings every time, validated the game files, lowered the game settings, re-installed fraps, set steam to admin, re-ded the file paths just to be safe, EVERYTHING! It's like there's some unseen force that doesn't want us to produce a video of that game.
