I need some help with macabre video ideas

I'm trying to focus more on one niche for my channel instead of just going all over the place(like I have been for a while). Since I have a pretty strong interest in horror & macabre (or other wise weird) stuff, that's what I've been trying to make videos of. However, I like to make people laugh too so I'm trying to incorporate some element of comedy into a majority of my videos.

I've only really done the occasional short film or sketch & top 10 lists(top 10 creepy toys, etc.) But I'm not entirely sure what kind of other videos I could do that would stay in the horror/comedy area of things. I don't necessarily want to mess with anything as "uncertain" as the Deep Web, but I've been considering urban exploring as something I might do in the future.

So, any ideas?
 
first thing that came to mind was something like a "tales from the crypt" type thing - where the host is macabre, but the topics can be flexible and light ...with the host as the dark element of the series - make all sorts of cliche' type comments and humor for "Ghouls and Boys" - Otherwise on content itself, the internet gets pretty dark, and some of it is just not funny..it will be hard to be funny covering topics like serial killers without sounding sorta psycho. and not in a fun way.

at least with the tales of the crypt approach, it can be more Halloween'ish , spooky and fun, rather than something just plain disturbing. and it will allow you to change the topic without losing the gothic theme of the zombie/vampire/undead/born this way / host. stuff like visiting an amusement park from the eyes of a real vampire or zombie - tons of opportunity for humor in that.

How about urban legends? If you want to go the horror/comedy route, you could find friends who are really jumpy and nervous and have them do the types of things that are urban legends, like saying "Bloody Mary" into a mirror 3 times in the dark, or going on a ghost hunt or something? Reactions in haunted houses always seem to be popular, so especially if you have friends who are guaranteed to be scared and jumpy and laugh at themselves being so, that would be a really easy thing to do.
