Hello there guys,

I am fresh starting with a new account. However, I am not able to change my icon.

My YT channel is linked to Google+, so to change the icon in my YT channel I need to change the icon in the Google+ account.

I did this about 6 hours ago, and still the icon (in my YT channel) is still the default one.

How to fix this, please?
 
go to your channel settings, then click on the advanced tab underneath.

where it says account information changes yours from google+ channel to a reg channel.

with a reg channel you can change your name and also the avatar as much as you like

It's what I have done, but in this way I can never link my YT channel to Google+ or I will have always a default icon? lol
 
there is not much of a positive to google+ really, all the bigger youtubers don't use it, they always go with the channel approach, if you stay linked you'll have to put up with it i think but if you change to the channel you can have whichever one you want and it updates instantly
