Guys pls help me!! I have a YouTube channel with the name Sense8. There is a popular tv show with the same exact name. I am scared right now. I wanted to ask you guys, will I get into any trouble with my channel name being the same as the tv show name?
 
i wouldn't think so, unless your channel was very similar to the tv show, im sure you will be fine. Im sure there is plenty of channels out there with the same sort of name, as something else and they don't even know about it, i would only worry if your channel was very similar and seemed like it was named after it
 
Well there's no way you could in trouble if you made it before the show was created. But will this cause problems for you channel? I'm 50/50 on it. In one hand there's going to be a lot of people accidentally clicking on your channel, this can raise your channel's worth in the searches, and can potentially draw you viewers/subs. On the other hand, if people click on your videos and realize it's nothing to do with the show, they might immediately close your video which will be really bad for your audience retention.
 
This sounds like it is more like a copyright/legal discussion question, so I've moved it to the copyright forum. ^^

As long as your videos are not similar or related to the TV show, I think everything should be okay with regard to keeping your channel name the same. ^^
