I just reached my April goals!

It took me completely by surprise but all of the sudden I have 52 subs! Could have sworn it was only 46 yesterday. In any case, my April goals are complete! Time to take a break and come up with the goals for May.

Why we have to set goals
I mean after uploading a video I just start working on a different thing and not the same thing so even if I set goals there is nothing much I can do to complete my goals

Its just to provide something to strive for. If you have a goal, most people often work harder or push that extra bit to reach it and then receive the feeling of self accomplishment for reaching it. You don't need to reach your goals, or even have goals, its all up to the creator really

Keep putting your best into your videos and keep having fun doing it, and you will reach your goals

Yep, we can't control it once its uploaded. Its all down to any promotion you do yourself and a bit of luck. The goal might aswell not exist, as it has no physical use apart from personal benefit

that's correct, that once its uploaded, its up to your own promotion.

but i still believe a goal should be set. I started with a goal in mind, & im still trying to reach out. I haevnt gotten there just yet, but Im not gonna stop trying.

Not completely true. A goal is a good compare tool to see how you are doing for yourself. And depending on the state of your goal you might put extra effort into promoting it.

For instance when I set my April goals I based them off the trend in views and subs at the time. I figured that I would either barely make it or not at all. Now I'm completely blown away because the views keep coming in by the hundreds a day (I could probably have set it at 10.000 and still made it) and subs seem to be spiking as well. Neither of which I expected when I set the goal, so it's a fun and informative way of keeping track of your own expectations.
