I have noticed...

I definitely agree :)

This kid used to message me, asking me to promote all his recent videos.
He said he needed 1000 views on every vid or else his parents won't let him keep his partnership...
At the time i was struggling to keep up 1000 views (my channel has died since then lol) and I only uploaded once a week.
This kid uploaded every two days and you can see not a lot of effort was put into producing them.
Just a 20 minute gameplay and straight up upload.

Not only this, but a college friend of mine found out I had a small channel.
He said to me he couldn't wait to start his minecraft channel cause he "knows" he can easily get 10,000 subscribers and he can easily make a job out of it.
In the end he only got 25 subs and he's gave up ever since. :/

You always have a chance of gaining new viewers, it's just you have to take the opportunity to impress them. :)

Ma'am, you don't have a small channel though. D:

It gets to their heads sometimes honestly because I had a kid add me recently and he had 400 subs (only uploaded his two games l4d2 and black ops 2) and this was completely out of the blue that he found me apparently. So he said he would give me a shoutout so I thought fine I guess? well long story short he ends up acting like a idiot and thinks hes god by demanding dlc to blackops 2 and steam trading cards for a shout out and when I said no he said it was my loss and it was the best deal ever and still kept whining for the items well later looking at his channel he only had like 7-20 on most videos (generally his black ops videos had 120-200 because well its black ops peopple go nuts over it sadly) so I threw all the lies back at him and he got upset which most likely means a huge amount of dead subs, he sub4sub, its legit, OR he boight them lol. So ya people now a days are crazy :p

Lmao! That gave me a good laugh.
Yes, if you want views... Upload CoD videos. It's actually true and it's a sad, sad world. o':
