I have no username (HELP)

K4LY

Member
Hello! I have a problem that is really annoying me!

I joined Youtube for about a week ago , using my Gmail.
I used "K4LY MUSIC" As First and Last name.
Then I created a Channel to get one-word name, and created my music channel K4LY

So, to my problem.. When I visit anyone on youtube, Pewdiepie, whoever..
I search for them, They show you, I click on their username and I get to their page,
Lets take pewdiepie for example, i enter his page and the url says
blablalbal/user/pewdiepie
Mine says blablabl/channel/blabla

So... I figured That was because I created a new channel, so I the icon on the right top corner, and chose "K4LY MUSIC" Instead, but even if i go there, It still says channel...

So I have no option, in my entire login that gives me the "user" feature in the browers..

What Can I do to solve this?!

Thank you in advance! :)

You can't get /user anymore
It's only /c/ now.

You probably have something like this as your channel name: FH37yhdg&g3ru3 or something
You can change this once you have over 500 subscribers.

You can change it at 500 subs to have /channel/K4LYMUSIC or whatever is available, you can automatically change your Google+ URL without 500.

YouTube changed this just before 2015, from now on you can no longer acquire a Custom URL until you reach 500 subscribers. A Custom URL is that, a URL that is customized with your name, for the moment your URL will stay at /channel/channelID until you reach 500 subscribers, /user/ is no long available to new users, those who apply for one now or change their URL will get /c/

You can read more about it here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2657968?hl=en

If you want to add your URL on YTTalk, go to your Personal Details, select /channel/ and input your channel ID, what's after /channel/.

I'm new to youtube so forgive me for any mistakes please, but I believe that you are no longer able to receive the "user" URL. Instead you get a \ c \ for a custom URL. The people who have \user\ are probably the ones that opened a youtube account before it was bought by google.

Yup, and actually it was before December 2014 that you were allowed to use /user/. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1433324493,1433324468][/DOUBLEPOST]
Now we're talking :) Thank you VERY much for the information RedFox

No problem, glad to be of help. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1433324578][/DOUBLEPOST]I also forgot to mention in case anyone else was wondering; if you have /c/ as your prefix, you do not need to select anything for channel prefix in the image linked above. :)
