I have a problem!

My YouTube account is connected directly to my gmail (google+ etc.) and that means that my YouTube Title on my channel page is Dylan O'Brien (My google+ username). Most channels can change this but I can't.

You're probably going to tell me to go to my Google+ page and change my username to what I want my title to be and it won't let me do that 'cause it only accepts full names.

If someone could help me that would be great, thanks!
 
I wanted to start a new YouTube account a week ago but it seemed like it wanted me to not have a created name. If I remember was there a part on my settings where you could change the name to a created name?

The only thing I can think is when you go into the settings of the account next to the avatar you should see

Name
E-mail address
advanced

See what options are on advanced. Just logged into the new account and I managed to get it changed.
 
This happened to me the other day, I went onto my YouTube channel pace, clicked "channel Settings" then I think it was "info and advanced settings" and there was an option about URLs instead of names (apologies I can't remember exactly what I did, it was a few weeks back) hope it helps though :)
