I Hate Windows Live Movie Maker

For about the last 10 video's I've been editing half way through the process all of my clips will become corrupt in Windows Live Movie maker, this is honestly the most frustrating thing ever. I'm well aware it isn't real professional software but I just can't purchase any right now. Does anyone know a fix for this problem?
 
Oh wow... I didn't even know there was a Live Movie Maker. XD I use regular Movie Maker, and only a few months ago learned I could cut out bad parts of my videos. XD But yeah, that sounds really terrible. I probably would have given up at that point.

It's a couple years old haha, it comes preinstalled on most windows computers . I'm probably going to look into downloading movie maker after I find some way to finish the video I'm trying to work on today lol.
 
there are many free video editors which can get the job done, however i still use sony vegas even tho all i do is speed videos up and add music to them

I'd like to find a free one I can use efficiently, but I have yet to try one that works good :|
 
At one point i Used one I think called "wax." I don't know if its still out and about but if I remember correctly it worked fairly well.
 
I started out using Windows Live Movie Maker initially and it was difficult to edit videos, slow, and had limited options. Now I use Sony Vegas Pro and it is amazing. Everything is so smooth and it's not hard to learn how to use.
