I got offered a partnership

Okay guys I think this was really strange. Today while checking through my e-mail I found an e-mail from Broadbandtv trying to link me with their TCN sub-network. Anyway I thought it was strange since I only have 65 subs at the current moment. Besides I heard horror stories about that MCN so I said no. I don't think I'm big enough for a partnership, but I can't help but wonder if I made the right choice.

Later I would recommend join a network because Youtube an gaming channels are not the best of friends. Even though the relationship has gotten better.

for real?
Yes, the reason the relationship is bad is because some gaming content is copyrighted and Youtube will take the video down. The only reason I joined was so the network can protect me, but like you said the network will pay more attention to you if your bigger. Plus, BroadBandTv has over 130,000 partnered channels in their network they would never be able to help you out.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about getting with a company untill your bigger ish. With gaming its kind of a good idea to have that company to back you up. But at a small channel youtube probably wont really bug you much with your videos anyways.

I would consider joining a Youtube channel when you've hit around 400-500 subscribers. Some will wait till they hit 1,000 so Curse can come calling.

How is a network going to protect you? This is one of the biggest misconceptions that YouTubers have. Networks do not secure permission from game developers. The only thing they offer is instant monetization, which in no way protects you from a Content ID claim or DMCA takedown.
