I didn't receive any emails about opting in to paid subscription terms

Hello,
I was watching a video on the Video Creators YouTube channel. It said that we have to opt in to the new terms regarding paid subscription or else we will lose monetization. I'm totally cool with opting in, but I don't remember receiving any emails about this. Is it simply because I live in Canada?

I have 3 channels. 2 partnered with Fullscreen and 1 partnered with youtube (not with a network).

Does anyone know if Fullscreen automatically opts their channels in to the new paid subscription terms? Also, I'm assuming that I'm going to have to opt in with my non-network channel. Is this true?

Thanks for the help!

WTF? I haven't heard this, I don't think YouTube would do that, they would lose a lot of money if they took away monetization. Channels like mine would never get any paid subscriptions but can still pull in a lot of views, it would be stupid on their part to do that.

Sorry, I didn't mean paid channel subscriptions! I meant users paying a flat fee for premium youtube service without ads! But now I'm reading that it's only available in certain countries so that's probably why I didn't receive any emails about it!

It only goes to the Content Owner if with an MCN (Content Owner meaning what MCNs use to manage channels not as in who owns the Content). Meaning it's a blanket agreement for the entire MCN.

Though in saying that, it's not like it was really a choice, it was pretty much; agree to the new terms or you can no longer monetize your videos.

Ok sounds good! I emailed Fullscreen to make sure that I was ok (just in case)! Now I'm going to check my non-network channel to make sure that it has agreed as well!
