I created a very different type of video, now my channel seems to be suffering?

Hey all,

I usually uploaded video tutorials that are 10-20+ minutes long teaching design/code.

A couple weeks ago, I uploaded a 60 second video tutorial just to test. People actually loved it.

Problem is, ever since then, my channel views as a whole, and on new videos since, have dropped by 20-30%. Comments on new videos have dropped a lot too.

I have no clue if this could be a coincidence, or due to some algorithm being affected by the short video duration.

One thing that *hasn't* changed are my daily earnings, those are consistent strangely enough?

Any insight into this?

It could be a handful of things like less watch time or something.

In addition to that summer is over now and so a lot of people are going back to school/work/college/whatever so views are pretty low all around.

Wow. I decided to look at last year's stats at this exact time, and in the same week views shot down by 30%, and took until January 1 to really fire back up.

Yeah views will be slow right now, just keep doing you and don't let this discourage you!
