I Caught Myself Obsessing

Yeah that's exactly it, you put so much time in effort and when you really really enjoy something like that you want to share it with the world!!!
 
I have to admit I can't wake up without checking the daily analytics although the days when they go down are the really saddening ones :(
 
There's definitely a distinction between knowing you numbers and being "obsessed" with them. I wouldn't say I obsess over numbers, but I do check them daily to see how we're doing, and I keep track of that information in a spreadsheet to help us make better decisions on what works and what doesn't for our content. I personally love numbers and analyzing things, but I wouldn't get upset if our numbers dropped down (which they occasionally do). I use the information to try and understand what happened and what caused previous traffic spikes and how we can strengthen those. Of course, at the end of the day it comes down to making videos we enjoy. But I think numbers can be a wonderful tool to help you grow, and knowing them is helpful. Obsessing over them, not so much.
 
I have my days where I check analytics every five minutes and can't stop thinking about it, but in the same token I have my days where I'm just having fun making videos. :)
 
Ever since I got botted I kind of stopped keeping track of my views.. D;
Although I do check if I get new subs everyday :P
