I want the happauge gaming hd pvrs but those are the choices which ones would you guys recommend?

I don't use capture cards since I record on PC.

But from what I've heard AverMedia and Elgato are the best. Or you can just buy one of the next gen consoles and you wont even need a capture card.

no idea bro lol, i thought you would have given examples or something.
well its the happauge Gaming Hd Pvr search it up

Elgato! :D I use the Elgato it's perfection to interface is great it has a temporary live recording so you can skim back if you forgot to hit record.
Built in trimmer.
Can export and share to all sites plus MP4 1080p for further editing. You can live stream to Twitch or YouTube in the same application too and it's so easy setting up with HDMI you just plug the USB into the PC for power and to split with the TV. One HDMI cable into the TV -> Elgato and you get a free HDMI to put in the place of Elgato -> Xbox there is also an A/V port for PS3

Would of helped to know which gaming console you intend to use. the Elgato is small and powers though the USB so very great value for money and space saving :)

Component looks a bit messier, the HD PVR looks less messy as it's HDMI in from console to the machine, and out to the TV, and Connection to Laptop/Desktop, and simple power cable for it.

Only 4-5 connections to worry about.
I have never used one though.[DOUBLEPOST=1381872209,1381872119][/DOUBLEPOST]

lol PS3 has HDMI aswell and comes with its own cables for both AV and HD.

I have an HDPVR with the Component connections...Its not too bad! I've yet to see how the HDPVR 2 works especially with a PC

I personally wouldn't suggest getting the Hauppauge HDPVR I have the Gaming Edition 2 it's great.. but for the extra £10 the Elgato Game Capture HD would have been such a better purchase as it has more and better features in the software and the hardware doesn't need a AC Power cable, the hardware also captures gameplay at a higher biterate so you get higher quality videos.
