I am in desperate need of some inspiration...

suppose it depends on what im trying to inspire myself to do, if its gaming vids i just play games, if its vlogs or sketches i just tend to hang out with my friends and talk nonsense with them until we come up with something funny xD
 
I keep my inspiration going by helping other youtubers out. A friend of mine asked for outro music so for fun and to take a break from my other projects I helped her out. It's important to take consistant breaks from what you are doing and stepping back and looking at what you have accomplished.

Or I go and sit with my kitties outside, with a cup of tea, or even exercise a bit... it's weird what comes to you when you're doing something else :)
 
I keep a log of show ideas in a plain text file. Some are decent ideas. Some suck. I keep it open all the time and I'll develop an idea a little further while I'm working on other projects or waiting for something to render. Currently, the backlog is way too long to ever run out of shows.
 
I drink s**t loads of coffee and write down whatever spews out...if after 20/25 pages I still have nothing...crack out the espresso shots!!
