How would I promote my channel on a forum?

How would I promote my channel on a forum?
I'm not sure where or how I would be able to do this anywhere.
 
I think the best thing you can do is go for forums that allow links in signatures and link to your channel that way, signing up and saying check out my stuff on YouTube isnt usually going to be well received, take your time being active on the forums you wish to do this on and create some curiosity about that link in your signature waiting to be clicked. Go for forums that go with the types of videos you do too, so for gaming go for gaming forums, fitness videos = fitness and health forums etc personally if I was doing this I wouldnt go just for the larger forums, try finding one with much less posts like under 1 million, they may not be as active but I think youre more likely to receive attention.

Are there any vlog forums? I am not sure if there are any forums regarding to my genre:)
 
There is a few I think but none are very active, I think theres one by quite a big YouTuber but I cannot remember their name right now.
