At 8Mbps, I'd say a 50-minute upload is pretty reasonable.

This would be the upload speed I get in a heavily saturated area on Verizon FiOS:

To upload a 3-minute 1080p video (around half-a-gig), it takes me 10-20 minutes.

I use iMovie and it takes about 30 minutes for about a 5-7 minute video. I think that's a lot more reasonable than YouTube's upload times.

Takes 2 hours to upload 3GB which is something I can deal with. The fastest upload speed I can have is 4MBIT/sec.

I don't really have a problem with uploading content...I compress all my video files using Handbrake to make it a million times easier to upload. There are tons of tutorials on how to use Handbrake to make your video files smaller, thus uploading faster...you might want to look into that if you're having trouble!

Oh and it's completely free :)

Typical upload time to me! Faster internet will do the trick! bigger youtubers are able to upload videos with TONS more editing, better resolution and everything in half the time i can upload a normal, not as edited, half the quality, lol.

For me, it depends on where I upload. The bar downtown that I frequent is great, it may take 10 minutes MAX to upload a vid, however, Dunn bros up the street, its gonna take at least half an hour, nevermind post-editing if any is necessary. Try to find better connection, I say. But maybe you do have to clean your computer, idk.
