This tutorial will help you if you're working on a thumbnail and need a quick way to take a picture from your video.
So open Vegas and your video like this:
So up above the Video Preview there are options like this:
Make sure when you're taking the snapshot it's on "Best Full", the reason for this is because it makes the preview the Best Quality/Resolution based on your settings which will also affect the snapshot.
There are 2 options highlighted 1 & 2.
1: This takes a snapshot of what's on the preview and copies it to the Clipboard so you can paste it into your favorite GIMP such as GIMP, Paint.net or PS.
2: Same as above only this saves it to a file.
For this tutorial I'm going with 1.
Open up your favorite GIMP and paste it into your file, this is what the end result might look like after putting everything else in!
