I agree with you, but this petition has been changed several times due to the fact it keeps meeting the amount of signatures youtube has asked for. They are dead set on changing, but this is our only chance to fight back. Every signature helps and you never know where it could go. I'm hoping they'll listen to our request, after all, we're their community

Hate to break it to you, but they won't listen to your request. The layouts are changing. No ands, if, or buts about it.
 
Fair enough, until then , i will continue to complain along with the 5000+ other people that bothered to sign the petition. I still believe that google will eventually hear our request and use the older layout.

Okay, but when they make everyone switch over to the new layouts, don't be surprised. They are switching over to the new layout so it can work on all devices.

YouTube have spent millions on the redesign. If they were going to seek opinion they certainly wouldn't wait until after they've spent the money and time to change it. Sure they'll tweak things as they go I'm sure, but you can't prevent it from happening unfortunately.

And, since 2005 when YouTube first reared its ugly head, when has it ever listened to the community about the many design changes, most of which people have despised? I honestly can't recall a time they ever said ok guys we know you hate it, let's start again.

The sad fact is, they don't care about the 'community'. They care about the money they rake in. They are a business, not your friend who want to help you succeed in life. The new design is PROVEN not to lose anybody views or subs (none of the channels who have it so far have had dropped stats, and I'm not just talking about the people with millions of subs) and, ugly as it is, people will adjust, as will you.
