Hey All,
Sorry I have been away from the community for a bit. Exams and stuff in university have kept be quite occupied over the last couple of months! However, I just wanted to share a tutorial which I think might be helpful to those YouTubers who do gaming commentaries or require the ability to record their system audio while at the same time capture their microphone input.
If you are on a Macintosh computer, look up tutorials regarding Sounflower. On Windows, there is a very powerful alternative application known as VoiceMeeter. The tutorial I have included below demonstrates how to configure VoiceMeeter appropriately to enable capturing audio from different sources.
VoiceMeeter is an application that reroutes audio. For example, sound coming from your system and your microphone will be rerouted to a virtual output device. This can then be used as an input into a recording software and in turn, you will be able to capture both your System audio as well as the Microphone input! Pairing this up with a screen recording software means that you will be able to record complete commentary videos with ease.

If you found this tutorial useful, please do leave feedback! Additionally, feel free to ask any questions below and I'll try my best to clarify/help you as soon as possible.
Have a happy holiday!
Regards.

Text based instructions:
- Install VoiceMeeter application on computer. Restart computer
- In the Hardware Input section, select your Microphone input. (First Column of application)
- In the Hardware Input section, select "B" as activated output channel. This will ensure that audio is not fed to Speakers from Microphone (can get annoying)
- Make sure that VoiceMeeter Input is set to default playback device
- Make sure that in Virtual Input, A and B are selected. Sound will go to speakers as well as to Virtual Output Device
- In recording software, select Virtual Output device is selected as default recording device. Your system audio as well as commentary (microphone input) should be picked up by the screen recorder.
