How to reply to comments on your channel

Some people have commented on my channel and I want to reply to them like you would with a comment on a video where they receive the email and stuff like that.

There's no set way, either respond on your own channel and hope they check back or go comment on theirs.

I know, I've always thought this was a really random feature. People occasionally leave comments/questions there and there's like no way to reply back to them....

You can inbox them. That's the only way they'll receive the e-mail.

All of my comments go like this "I love your artwork" "I wish I was as talented as you are". Because they are all similar I tend to reply to some of them saying "thanks" some don't really need a reply.
I haven't got any hate comments so far.
