How to remove cropping on your already posted Videos?

Hey all

I have recorded and rendered my Lets play: Dead Space at these specifications:
Resolution: 16:9
Frame width: 1280
Frame height: 720
File type: MP4

But I keep getting borders either side of my videos, I looked into the online assistance on Youtube and found tags that are meant to be able to remove the croppings from videos. [[ It won't let me post the link here to the Google support/answers ]]

But that didn't work, either that or I'm doing it wrong. Please can someone help me with this.
 
The cropping issue would have to be something with your rendering program, ex. Sony Vegas Pro 12, or Adobe Premiere Pro. If you do not have the rendering settings set to your specifications, ie 1280x720. It will crop it down to maybe 800x600, and the only way to fix your video is to re-render it.

I use CorelVideo Studio X6 and there is basically a filter for doing cropping in it. You just drag the Crop option onto your video and then tweak it in the options, so all that nasty black is gone. I would assume there is some kind of option like that in my editing software.
 
I use Wondershare Video Editor, (Paid version), though it doesn't have a crop option.[DOUBLEPOST=1393952454,1393949634][/DOUBLEPOST]

With Wondershare Video Editor (The program I use), you have to select the output resolution before entering the program. Either 4:3 or 16:9. I've gone into the advanced settings and changed the next episode, though everything still appeared normal. I only really changed the bit rate. Thank you anyways and I'll hope I can sort it soon.
 
You can use formatting tags to sort it, there's loads of videos on youtube about it search up youtube formatting tags and they fix cropping :)

Thank you for the advice Brodielawrence. I just retried using the tags but it hasn't worked again. I tried via your video but the update has meant tags don't appear on the video page. And all of my "Dead Space" Playlist has the correct tag yt:crop=16:9 upon each video. But nothing has changed. Is there a lag or waiting time? Because it didn't seem this way on your Tuesday Tutorial video.

it can be certain videos it hasn't affected or that there are some tags that wont work on certain videos, it's an ongoing issue that is quite a pain...sometimes there has been times where it takes about a day to take effect
