How to record a Samsung Android Tablet?

Zaff

I've Got It
I wanted to start making some videos of Android games, but I've got no idea how to record the screen of the tablet.

Is it possible to use a standalone app or using usb-to-micro-usb wire? Would i eventually need to root it?
Or would I need some HDMI hardware to do this?

I tried this with my Nexus 10 and the best way it seems would be to root it as the apps that allow you to record the screen will only work on specific unrooted devices, if you cant or dont want to I would recommend using Bluestacks instead and then using Camtasia or another screen recording software to record Bluestacks when open.

Failing that you could try using droid@screen and install the Android SDK on your computer, it works but I found the output recording to be nearly unusable, I would only use that again if I had to.

Most of the recording programs tend to just take a crapload of screenshots and the 1s that have done video tend to lag a bit.
I would recommend using Bluestacks instead and then using Camtasia or another screen recording software to record Bluestacks when open. http://www.bluestacks.com/
This seems good, does it require that device though or can you just link via WiFi?

There are apps that let you do it but some aren't free, unless you root it there are many possibilities :)
