How to make the thumbnail more attractive?

Hi YTTalkers! I am producing white board animation in my Youtube channel. so please give me advice to make the thumbnail more attractive. Thanks in advance.

You don`t want to too much text in a thumbnail and make sure it`s able to be seen from a zoomed out view. Try making a custom background maybe sorry that`s not the greatest advice.

All right! I always use the image from the video. so u r saying minimal text usage is enough ah!

I'm not sure what you use to make your thumbnails, but a cool app that you can use is called PicsArt. Very user-friendly app that I use for my thumbnails, and I like it a lot.

Faces - close shots of faces. If these are strange faces - even batter (grinning for example). That's what YouTube recommends (I can explain you and the science behind it but may be another time). I don't know how you'll combine it with your animation movies but you may give it a try.

Good luck!

Colour schemes usually work best when they're three or less different colours, usually black, white and one other. Using too many colours can look a bit unprofessional and childish, ya know?

@ohaple made a thread with thumbnail safe zones in it that I use for mine. Might not help with overall design, but can help make sure your message gets through to the viewers eyes.
