Lyric videos are great! People love them and they are so much cheaper than actual videos. They are really easy to make, although they take time (the one I did for my band took my 5-6 days of work). So for a DIY musician they are the best option to start.
You'll need a video editing software. I used Adobe After Effects and loved it, but they say AVS Video Editor and Sony Vegas Pro works just as fine. Then it's only searching KINETIC TIPOGRAPHY on youtube and watching some of them. They are not hard to follow or to do, they're only time consuming.
