Yup that's what I use as well. It's amazing once you get the hang of it.

It's actualy easy just watch a bit tutorials how to make intro's and you'll understand that stuff the basic stuff

Sony Vegas is good for editing but for CG and graphics I think after effects is way better. Yea it is harder to learn but once you get past the basics there is a tone you can do.

you can make an intro with just about any editing software...i made one with windows movie maker in the past, i think its more of a question of the quality in your intro and how fancy you want it
